    Esto no significa que debamos aumentar la duración de nuestras sesiones de
    entrenamiento, que puede o no ser el caso dependiendo de la situación.
    Sin embargo, haremos un mejor uso de cada sesión de capacitación, haremos un mejor
    uso de nuestro tiempo en el campo y en common se realizará un trabajo de mayor calidad.

    La erección es un fenómeno neurovascular
    bajo control hormonal, en el que intervienen neurotransmisores,
    factores endocrinos, así como agentes vasoactivos, y precisa de la integridad de las propiedades fibroelásticas del tejido cavernoso.
    Sigue siendo debatido el papel de los andrógenos en la función eréctil (las evidencias existentes sobre la influencia
    de la testosterona en la función eréctil son sobre todo a nivel experimental).

    Los andrógenos intervendrían en la regulación bioquímica del
    proceso fisiológico de la erección, su déficit parece provocar cambios estructurales en el tejido cavernoso que afectan especialmente a la activación y al
    mantenimiento del mecanismo venooclusivo.
    Así, en estudios experimentales en ratas, se
    ha demostrado que la privación de andrógenos por castración altera la ultraestructura de los nervios cavernosos, del nervio dorsal del pene y puede
    producir fuga venosa29,30, alteraciones reversibles tras el tratamiento con testosterona31.
    También se ha comprobado que la erección producida por estimulación del área medial preóptica en ratas es dependiente de la testosterona33.
    Por tanto, los andrógenos parecen common en el animal de experimentación los mecanismos neurológicos
    de la erección, tanto a nivel central como periférico.
    Otros estudios experimentales en ratas han demostrado que
    la testosterona regula la expresión y la actividad de
    las distintas isoformas (neuronal y endotelial) de la sintasa
    de óxido nítrico (NOS) en el cuerpo cavernoso34,35.

    El abuso de los esteroides se ha difundido a tal extremo
    en el atletismo, que afecta el resultado
    de las competencias deportivas. Las hormonas esteroideas
    trabajan por estimulación de moléculas receptoras en las
    células musculares, quienes afectan genes específicos para producir proteínas (Figura
    1). También afectan la tasa de activación de los sistemas enzimáticos
    involucrados en el metabolismo proteico, por esta razón incrementan la síntesis proteica e inhiben la proteolisis (llamado efecto
    anti-catabólico). Pueden ser consumidos en diferentes formatos, en pastilla, aplicado en gel o crema o
    inyectado directamente en el músculo. Por norma common, los esteroides anabólicos cuentan con fluoximesterona y nandrolona.

    Ellos también dicen que tienen dificultades para realizar progresos cuando no ingieren estas sustancias.
    Los anabólicos esteroides pueden tener efectos anticatabólicos, lo que significa que estas drogas previenen contra el catabolismo
    muscular que generalmente acompaña al entrenamiento intenso.

    Se suelen usar para tratar diferentes afecciones hormonales
    como el retraso en la pubertad.
    Los corticoides se utilizan para tratar la artritis reumatoide, la enfermedad inflamatoria
    intestinal, el asma, las alergias y muchas otras afecciones.
    También se usan para prevenir el rechazo
    de órganos en receptores de trasplantes, ya que ayudan a inhibir el sistema inmunitario.
    Esta es una enfermedad poco frecuente que se produce cuando las glándulas suprarrenales
    no generan la cantidad suficiente de corticoide que el cuerpo
    necesita. El motivo es, en parte, que alteran los niveles de
    colesterol en sangre, aumentando las lipoproteínas de baja densidad (el colesterol malo) y disminuyendo las de alta densidad (el colesterol
    bueno). Esto aumenta el riesgo de arteriosclerosis, una patología
    en la que las moléculas de grasa se acumulan en las arterias dificultando el flujo
    sanguíneo en forma de bloqueos y coágulos.

    La falta de 5α-reductasa en el testículo, podría explicar por qué los inhibidores de esta enzima no tienen un marcado efecto en la espermatogénesis22; por consiguiente, la testosterona no
    es reducida a DHT. Esta es más potente ligada al RA que aquella,
    por lo que en el compartimiento tubular, en ausencia de DHT y para mantener la expresión del RA, será necesario mantener
    niveles altos de testosterona que se encontrará principalmente ligada a la ABP producida por las células de Sertoli23.

    Los túbulos seminíferos están expuestos a concentraciones
    de testosterona de 25 a a hundred veces mayor que los niveles circulantes.

    En resumen, los esteroides son pilar importante
    en el tratamiento de diferentes enfermedades inflamatorias,
    autoinmunes e infecciosas, tanto sistémicas como
    oculares. A pesar de su efectividad, su uso puede venir acompañado de efectos secundarios, como el
    glaucoma inducido por esteroides, la formación de cataratas,
    el retraso en la cicatrización de heridas y el empeoramiento de infecciones.

    Por eso, se sugiere que los médicos no
    oftalmólogos consideren referir a cualquier paciente en tratamiento prolongado con esteroides sistémicos a un médico oftalmólogo, para que evalúe
    la posible aparición de glaucoma y cataratas.

    Pues bien, en el transcurso de 8 semanas el grupo que se le
    administró nandrolona en combinación con el
    entrenamiento de fuerza, ganó 2,6 kg de masa muscular, mientras que
    el grupo que recibió un placebo solo ganó 0,8 kg. Pero esta no es la única prueba de la magnitud
    y del efecto de los esteroides en la ganancia de masa muscular.
    Por definición, los esteroides son un grupo de sustancias de estructura
    policíclica de 17 átomos de carbono de la que derivan compuestos de gran importancia biológica, tales como los ácidos
    biliares y algunas hormonas.
    La testosterona no parece actuar directamente
    en las células germinales, sino funcionando a través de las células de Sertoli por expresión del RA e influyendo en el microambiente tubular.
    Puede metabolizarse a estradiol por acción de la estrógeno sintetasa o aromatasa,
    presente en el testículo. En el varón también hay actividad aromatasa en la próstata, cerebro, adipocitos, fibroblastos de la piel,
    hueso y en las células del estroma del pecho24, siendo
    regular una producción diaria de 50 μg.

    Aunque el papel del estrógeno en el compartimiento tubular no es
    bien conocido, se ha indicado un efecto
    estrogénico en la secreción de inhibina B por
    las células de Sertoli. También es possible que la acción estrogénica sea importante para el desarrollo celular
    y función de las células de Leydig, de Sertoli y germinales25.

    Las personas que dejan de tomar esteroides también se encuentran con menores cantidades de hormona masculina que
    en lo ordinary, durante los períodos sin consumos de esteroides.
    Los efectos catabólicos del cortisol se incrementan cuando los atletas dejan de tomar drogas mientras que
    la fuerza y el tamaño muscular se pierden en una alta tasa.
